I'd like to change my earlier review of this place. The beer is still good but the food has gone downhill a lot. jjamjj - 3 Jan 2011 23:14
Visited this pub for the first time in a while last Saturday, I recieved a warm welcome and downed a couple of well kept pints of Doom Bar. Its still in my view the best pub in the village and thats not to say the others are bad. Well worth a try. ilikeabeer - 27 Oct 2010 23:21
visited last night,6 beers on,london pride, harveys best, pedigree, summer lightning, sharps doom bar and cornish coaster.busy in the bar with lots of people eating(didnt eat myself but, food looked nice)headed to the well kept garden with a lovely pint of cornish coaster, which soon became 3 pints.well worth a visit to this well run pub. hoppyal - 10 Sep 2010 14:41
Visited the pub on a holiday day out, mid-week lunch time, had a nice meal, good portions and a very nice pint of sharp's doom bar (very good selection of beers). Our three kids enjoyed the experience, a good flat enclosed garden although the play bits were for toddlers only. One small draw back is the number of signs up communicating what you are not allowed to do (no push chairs, no dogs, no small groups using large tables etc etc, maybe the locals are less well behaved than the rest of the country?) davehowe - 17 May 2010 22:02
Funny that this pub has sudenly got three reviews hyping it up again and all from people that have never used site before, reading my honest personal opinion, so bad when pubs start this nonsence just for their own image equitablyaboveboard - 30 Mar 2010 18:57
