Decided that I would give this pub another try as my friends went there over christmas and said that the old manager had gone now and there was a new manager and staff, the attitude has changed for the better. We went last friday and they had a disco, it was busy not like the old days when it was quite. Music was very good, music for all ages very good night had by all I even copt of there. Went back on wednesday it was not as busy as last friday but still a good night.
Was talking to the manager and he said that thay are starting karioke on saturday nights and a quiz on a sunday night that will be my weekend sorted out now and I won't have to go to the bird any more as the sun is nearer to me. Its GREAT NIGHT there.

This is a lovely little pub, completely deceiving from the outside. Inside has the ambience of a bar more than a pub. Not sure what it is like if you go alone, I have always went with a pal. Recommended.

Just moved to the area a couple of months ago and found this place through the site so tried it outlast Saturday and loved it-not just for the fact that they played a dance mix of ONJ's 'Physical' & on video too:-)))
Also was served by a very cute guy who was welcoming and chatted to me - which seems to be a rarity in gay pubs these days!
Croydon isn't the greatest of places for the gay scene but this pub is very different from what I expected.
Only downside to the night was that I didn't pull :-(

Not sure about this one really, lovely to have another gay bar in Croydon, but the jury's out about how friendly it is as last time I was there it appeared that the new owner/ manager definately had his favourite punters and the rest were made to feel a tad 2nd class!
Shame the Irish guy that ran it before has gone!
