Great for cocktails, though rather thin on the ground for much else. Interesting atmosphere, picks up later in the night. Lots of people are members of MnK, part of the "group" and tend to wander off at around 10 to the other venues. Krugeri - 3 Mar 2008 13:43
One of the only bars that seems to have any kind of atmosphere at the weekend in this area. Excellent bar staff, friendly and keen to recommend drinks. edaj - 29 Nov 2007 14:28
As bars in the West end go, this is pretty good. Crap selection of bottled beer, but nice cocktails. Crammed with a mix of All-Bar-One'rs, and new media types. dsw - 28 Nov 2007 11:28
I don't often venture into the west end for drinking purposes, but when I do, I always find Match a welcome respite from the usual uniform chain pubs with their combination tourists & wannabes, Match has excellent atmosphere, service is always knowledgeable and attentive, and although I don't usually drink cocktails, they have an exciting variation outwith the norm. Whisky selection is excellent (more my type of drink), and beers ain't that bad considering it's not geared towards those type of drinkers. overall a great choice for centre of town without burning a hole in your wallet. scotlandthebrave - 11 Jul 2007 23:07
