Now called the Escape. Went in for the first time today. they had Greene King IPA, Adnams Bitter and Hobgoblin on all were well served. The food was very nice. Overall a very nice place. I'll be back.

A bit of an update, the food (and service) seems to have gone way down hill. waiting an hour for a warm-ish burger at lunchtime isn't really on.

pub has recently changed hands but the new management seem to be coping well. food is really good though maybe not up to the old standards (when i'd say it was the best eating pub in the area). nice and airy, well worth a visit.

This pub is my local and is a great after work pub, there is always a pretty decent crowd there and the staff are all really friendly and a good laugh. The food is pretty reasonably priced and they serve it until 9pm unlike most pubs in the area that stop at five. They have specials but the standard menu is pretty good. Although it's not open at weekends it's a great Friday night pub and they always have guest ales.
