| bar:me is an excellent venue, i quite regularly meet mates in there in the later stages of the evening, the doormen are not wankers theyv'e got a job to do, if ive ever had a problemtheyve sorted it straight away, the only time you will get trouble in there is if u look for it making you a wanker, the music is great, the staff are great and the doormen are professional, i love it and so do my mates dippydaz1 - 10 Sep 2006 14:39 |
| I'm sorry, I have to reinforce what several others have said before me, the bouncers are complete & utter twats. Didn't notice many obviously underage people, but it seems to be a courtesy thing to just flash your ID at them as everyone walks past into the venue, unless they want to check yours more closely, so they're doing that bit of their job correctly. They are arrogant and abusive though, most definitely, and needlessly violent, even when unprovoked. The place does NOT have a good reputation due to these guys. I've witnessed them knock people to the floor (repeatedly, I might add) because they didn't like the look of them, even though they'd let them in in the first place, and were doing absolutely nothing wrong. They make up bullshit excuses to justify their actions and take every opportunity to throw people out, as violently as possible. Get it sorted out. This pub firmly fits in to a scene, a scene of partucular music genres, if its dance/trance you like then this is your place. If like me that music gets you agitated and angry then its best avoided. | The boucers are very aggressive. I witnessed four straight weeks of unprovoked agression on WEDNESDAY nights. I witnessed the promotor of one night getting dragged out of the venue, and on a different occasion stopped the deejays getting in. I also know the venue uses a different door team to the whole rest of the area. Regency security for those that want to know.
