| Oh dear. Thought I'd give this place a second look. The same people, in the same position at the bar. I'm sure 2 were dead but they'd just failed to removed the carcasses. Plus every chav in Sussex must hang out here on a Saturday eve. Beer was better than last visit but food was not good. Shame its got such great potential and has hardly got any competition now. | food in here is not superb, the beer is average and not kept very well, lots of sediment in my pint so needless to say i didn't drink it. the locals were at the lower end of the scale but not nasty in any way. customer service is none existant. dont bother making a special trip to eat here. foodhead.com - 16 Aug 2007 16:36 |
| Slightly surprised at the previous comments! I have recently moved to the area and have always found the clientele to be very friendly and hospitable and not chav like at all. There is a very good menu available and the food has always been superb. This is a very old traditional village pub that has still retained it's original features. Let's hope it continues to do so and doesn't turn into one of those pubs that concentrates on food only and loses it's 'local' feel. LK1 - 1 Jun 2007 11:59 |
