user reviews of Bromptons, Earls Court

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I have nothing against gay bars at all but this place is a little too much.

I can only imagine that having sex with another man whilst watching Moulin Rouge! would be less gay than this cliche of a place!!

One of very few places I've been refused service in.

Large gay venue which, along with the Coleherne, forms the main part of Earls Corts gay scene. Been established for donkeys years & has had various refits over time.A tad expensive but decent beer and friendly atmosphere are usually to be found, though the pub is definitely more geered towards the gay male so women may feel a little unwelcome.

Unfortunately,Bromptons has recently started to go down hill. The gorgeous old style pub bar upstairs is now rarely open, meaning that people have to go into the larger, darker much louder club bar downstairs. This is a big shame, because, quite frankley, the club is crap. There is no escape from the boom boom boom of constant loud 'disco' music. Nowhere you can go & escape from it. Because of this,Bromptons is going to get half the marks it would have got 12 months ago.
