| Another one bites the dust... planning permission being sought to demolish the Countryman and build "THREE PAIRS OF SEMI DETACHED HOUSING WITH PARKING". Isle of Wight Council website / ref P/00352/11 - TCP/27769/B. Regretting I never got the chance to visit this pub (ignoring the beer watering issue which is down to the licensee) now looks like I never will. RESIDENTS OF BRIGHSTONE RISE UP ! | Great pub, great service, great laugh, shame about other comments, everyone makes mistakes, he has been punished and pub deserves a chance, the last 5 times i have been in there i have had superb homecooked food, what i call real food, although i have been on my own i have been made very welcome, landlord and lady and staff are lovley, freindly and real, just wish more people would discover this place! gemimagrade1 - 25 Apr 2009 23:16 |
| This is the third time my family and I have been to the Isle of Wight and The Countryman is always a must. The food is fresh and homemade and the service excellent.
