Quite nice and reasonable food, beer was well kept and prices were great from a Southerners point of view but let down by poor service. Rather nice barmaids. Not bad but there are better in the town. scrumweasel - 14 Jun 2010 21:40
As seaside pubs go, this is a fairly good one i think - Birds out the back (the feathered variety) for the kids also TheGP - 25 May 2009 12:44
The pub is nice from the outside, the bar staff were friendly and indeed, the ladies were attractive (yes i know that's sexist, but its the truth). The beer itself was reasonable - sadly, i cant remember what i had, as it wasnt MILD, which is clearly a dirty word in Yorkshire. Sadly, the experience was somewhat let down by what i thought was a meeting of the Filey Hard of Hearing Men's Club (equally sexist), the three members of which seemed to need to shout to each other in building site fashion, despite being at the same table. JB pointed out the were not hard of hearing just VERY VERY LOUD Archivist - 12 May 2009 16:19
