| I have literally never had such an unfriendly hosts..Theresa Meaker was rude, abrupt and unhelpful, raising her voice at my 3 year old who had followed me into the "bar" area where I was trying to order my food.. (apparently children are not allowed into the bar- but how else am I supposed to order food, whilst looking after my little boy.) There was literally no one else in the bar area... now I know why! When I told Theresa that I would not be ordering food from her establishment (on the basis that if the food was half as good as the service, we would all get food poisoning!) She rushed to fetch her 25 stone husband Chris, who squared up me me in front of my 2 children (1 &3 yrs old) My son was still balling his eyes out as we collected our belongings and left to find a more suitable place to have a relaxing lunch on our short break to Salisbury... Advice:- Steer clear of this place- there are much nicer places to eat in Salisbury, and the owners are just not nice! rogwise - 7 Jun 2011 12:34 |
| Nice pub with a good atmosphere. Weird though, sometimes empty then all of sudden full to the brim. Real ales are pretty good but not really the ones I like. Nice enough though. nickyboi45 - 7 Dec 2010 10:37 |
| Very nice indeed, good range of beers, cracking garden and pleasant staff. Not my side of town, so only just discovered it, but will be back in - really recommend it. narwhelan - 24 Apr 2009 11:25 |
| What a nice pub! Popped in just for a pint. Selection of ale was a bit disappointing with only GK IPA, Courage Best and another National, but the Greene King was not bad. Food looked good but a bit pricey - e.g. £9 for the Sunday roast. BillyD - 1 Oct 2007 11:38 |
