| This pub has definitely turned around over the last few months. Brian and Teresa are superb hosts and the quality of the food and Beer (although it is Green King) has got better and better. It can still get lively on some weekend nights, but the place has never been so clean or run so professionally. Now some of the idiots have been barred, the atmosphere has really improved. | Terrible service, untidy and unfriendly staff and hopeless manager. Food comes out semi cold direct from the micro wave. Looks like its recently had a make over, but lacks apeal. You might be lucky to get a clean glass. Toilets unclean and smelly slimmjim21 - 15 Jan 2011 22:46 |
| I suppose that West End still likes to think of itself as a village (rather than a suburb of Southampton), and this place appears to be still aiming for a "village inn" feel (although quaint it is not).
