| After 12 miles on the Thames Path from Oxford, yesterday, it was a relief to find we had a good hour before the 18.16 train back to London - and that the Carpenters was open and welcoming. There was enough time to try the Greene King IPA, Morlands Original, and Abbot - all in very good condition. Mark Haslett couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, though it was a shame to see the pub so little used on a beautiful sunny and hot afternoon in the garden. zorrodp - 16 Aug 2010 09:17 |

| Called into this pub for an evening meal with my partner and two children. Were unable to have a meal due to the sign on the bar saying "cash only".
