| I take back what I posted last year. The last pint of Sam Smith's Old Brewery I had there was ruined by chilling. The clientele on a Saturday lunchtime were a sad bunch. Not much to recommend it now. davidashbee - 15 Nov 2006 21:18 |
| This is a great pub if you are an avid Samuel Smith's drinker like myself. I also LIKE the fact that they are without an entertainment license. I have been in many places where the conversation was killed by music--not to say that I don't appreciate music, I just like a bit of meaningful human interaction every now and then. | One of the only 2 pubs in the county serving Samuel Smiths beer brewed in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, though this is now not available as a real ale here. It's a restored Victorian-type pub a few minutes walk from Gloucester cross and the famous rugby ground at Kingsholm. Well worth a visit. davidashbee - 22 Jul 2005 22:44 |
