Thought this was going to be a pricey place as the decor suggests that, however they have some great drinks specials (half price pitchers) at the beginning of the week. Service was excellent and the attention to detail in making the cocktails was amazing. I highly recommend the Mojito and Bloody Marys there. All in all a very nice place. Teskea - 30 Jan 2008 18:42
Had a very pleasant evening in this pub. Staff were very friendly, sat on comfy sofas... all good. pigdog - 27 Jun 2007 11:50
My office just moved right beside The Rose, and its very convenient for me to go there both for lunch and happy hours. I like to site in the upper room, called river view bar for lunch time! Last Thursdays I had a traditional bangers and mash with onion gravy and my other friend fish and chips, we both looking at the Parliament building! You can't get more English than that! Thursdays and Fridays are usually full! Nice to get ready for the weekend, listening to the DJ and having a couple of drinks. anonymous - 13 Mar 2007 11:59
No beer. No customers. IT ISN'T F***ING ROCKET SCIENCE. anonymous - 7 Jan 2007 22:35
I visited this pub on a Saturday evening and, given its prime location, was surprised to discover it was almost completely empty. On closer inspection I found that although a wide range of lagers were available, they sold no bitter at all. In my view a pub without beer is like a library with no books, or a zoo with no animals. I won't be going back. ChrisF - 28 Aug 2005 10:40
