A 'Pub & Dining' establishment which means basically it ISN'T a pub. They seem to expect that everyone who comes through the door wants to feed their faces rather than just have a drink. They did have three ales on - Pride, an Adnams X-mas brew (which then wern't ready) and Brakspears. The brakspears wa sno more than drinkable. Snarling_Mallard - 18 Dec 2011 20:56
Run by Vintage Inns. Food served throughout the day which is useful to know. It has their usual menu - good choice, good price and good, well, reasonable quality. The three hand-pumps were dispensing; Brakspear bitter, Adnams Green Bullet and the ubiquitous Fullers London Piss.........sorry Pride. The Pride was £2:90 a pint, Adnams a staggering £3:50. Probably more of a foodie pub than drinking. fugglehops - 20 Nov 2011 20:49
Used the pub for a family birthday celebration on Saturday and quite enjoyed it. There was a real ale festival going on outside so there was a good choice of ales. Food menu was quite comprehensive and service was friendly - all in all not bad for a big pub! welwyntone - 12 Sep 2011 23:33
Has had a recent revamp. Still serves decent beer & food in a friendly atmosphere. GaryB007 - 7 Apr 2011 19:16
The beer was ok again tonight. 3 ales to choose from Bury St Edmunds, London Pride and 6x. Pride was good. Pub seemed busy as usual. NeilA - 16 Sep 2010 23:52
