Tried this place after golf yesterday evening. Not at all bad for one of these Pubco places. Good range of foreign lagers if that's your thing, but I had the Speckled Hen. Cracking pint, if slightly on the cold side, but there are far worse ways to cock up a pint.

Menu has change slightly but still ok. Be careful as the real ale seems to bee off quite a lot of the time. There never seems to be anyone there who can change a barrel. Still good all over though.

I went to this pub last week with my family and had such a wonderful pleasant meal. The pub itself is rather nice and the selection of food is wonderful. Good value meals and good to see that not evening is served with chips. Would definately visit again when in the area.

We are fussy about where we eat and drink, if there is a public bar and it's referred to as the "spit and saw dust" that's o.k. but we don't actually want the spit or the saw dust. Rest assured there is neither of those in this pub. What you get is a friendly service, excellent well prepared food, a pleasant atmosphere and no juke box!
Try it.

The real ale has now changed to Bombadier, and it is still very nice.
