This is from memory from when they had a bar billiards table in the Sports bar - and in the days before the smoking ban: Horrible, smoky dive, subjected the whole evening to snidy comments from a certain member of the darts team and a fight nearly broke out between him and the home captain. A great relief when the bar billiards team moved to the Watermill.

A few years ago i used to think that the Cricketers was the next candidate for closure in the Hill. But I've changed my mind.
The Cricketers was, is, and always will be a local boozer with local people in it but recently is seems to be busier. I dont go in here often but the beer is always good and there always seems to be some sort of birthday/anniversary party going on in the back bar.
Maybe some people have moved form the Kings Head.

Harry 1234 is right when he says that its difficult to get to the bar sometimes but you could just try saying "excuse me". Drunks fall out of all local pubs from time to time....its just chance!

What is this place all about? I walked in there and was immediately accosted by some drunk. Couldnt understand what he was slurring at me so just smiled politely and tried to find some bar space. After some dirty looks I managed to get a pint. Tried not to laugh at the drunken woman trying to dance with the dog. Surreal! Leave before you get beaten-up and robbed.

Typical pub. Beer, darts, pool, tellies. Nice atmosphere, staff friendly, separate sports bar. Outside smoking facilities. Large rear green but never any children on it!

Reasonably priced beer, good all round pub which I like drinking in.

Please bear in mind when reading the reviews below that 'Gravenor' is the name above the door.

Oh - you'd already guessed.
