Typical pub. Beer, darts, pool, tellies. Nice atmosphere, staff friendly, separate sports bar. Outside smoking facilities. Large rear green but never any children on it! Reasonably priced beer, good all round pub which I like drinking in. thehiddenone - 4 Jul 2008 13:49
Please bear in mind when reading the reviews below that 'Gravenor' is the name above the door. Oh - you'd already guessed. Joan_Crawford - 3 Nov 2006 12:37

Very friendly staf, especially one of the bar maids. Several good pool and dart teams, good beer, good food and great atmosphere. Have lived in Burgess Hill for 10 years and can honestly say the best pub in town. The landlord always gives a good welcome and witty banter. Tries hard at golf. IanIngleton - 5 Dec 2005 16:19
I visited this pub mid-week when it was quiet. I had heard good reports about this pub so was surprised at the unwelcoming atmosphere I experienced. The bar staff gave me the impression that it was a nuisance to serve me even though they weren't really that busy and it appeared that the latest gossip was far more important than my pint! The landlord was conspicuous in his absense - infact does he exist at all?? Because if he does he really needs to be keeping a closer eye on his staff. Food smelt good though (didn't try it myself as decided to eat in a pub with a warmer atmosphere)! anonymous - 26 Oct 2005 14:40
