Now Open As "The William Henry", Was nice to see a new spoons opening up here but was sad that it meant the loss of hog's head.Had brekkie and a pint of great tasting ringwood which was spot on and so was the service, A good start anyway.......8/10

J.D. Wetherspoon buying the place from the Laurel Pub Company. Expected to be open by the end of the year.

Stopped trading as of 21 March 2008.Top reason the smoking ban. More pubs will follow. The do-gooders are happy now.

I visited Weymouth in the weekend and was keen on watching a game televised on sky. I asked at Weymouth Information who set me to The Hogshead. I turned up and was happy to see about 9 tv's and next to no-one in the pub. I asked if they were going to be screening the game and the manager said he would put it on the tv down stairs. I got a pint and waited... and waited... and waited. I asked a staff member if they were going to put the game on still. He said everyone was watching another channel. I pointed out no one was watching the tv down the bottom, but he said he was still not sure. So I asked if he could tell me if he could find out, so if they weren't going to screen it I could go elsewhere and catch the second half. "nah, I dunno?" he replied.

The most useless hospitality ever! They'll serve a beer, but that's about it.

No good any more as they lost the greatest chef ever, Roy Mushroom, the drunken master of burgers
