Great steaks and grills, and a decent pint of Sams. The villagers of Warthill could do a lot worse. MountainMan - 8 Apr 2008 19:53
Like all Sam Smiths pubs, it is an ordeal for someone who doesn't drink beer. There are no good whiskies, the cola is own-brand, the gin too, and I found the red wine sorely wanting too. However, the food, location and ambience are excellent. I would definitely go again since the overall experience is good enough to overcome the difficulty involved in the drinks order. sweavo - 15 Aug 2007 15:29
Very nice place indeed. Inside seems mostly to be dedicated to food service, from what looks like a good menu. However, you can grab a seat, and sit enjoying a beer, inside or out. Great place. alistair_cross - 22 Apr 2007 14:55
I have visited this pub many times, the food has allways been exelent. It best to be there for opening to ensure a seat. The last time i went about a week ago, i had the steak and ale pie, normaly in pubs you get a small oval dish with a huge puff crust on the top and below 3 inches or air then the meat. This pie was fantastic, thepie was about 4 inches square and 2 1/2 inches deep with loads of gravy and meat around it, the meat was so tender it fell apart, i can be o bit of a pig but could not eat everything that was on the plate. My wife had steak diane which was just as good Top marks again for this great country pub. Going agian in about half an hour!!!!! smokin750 - 21 Aug 2006 17:18
Basking in past glories, when it was push and shove to get a table for their amazing value steak. All of the pub is devoted to food, which with current trade makes it somewhat desolate. Pleasant duck pond outside. Takes a bit of finding- turn at the bend. alanwrigg - 29 Jun 2006 20:42
