Nice beer garden and nicely done out interior. Usually quiet at lunch but can get busy in the evenings. DH_PARKY - 21 Mar 2007 15:24
I worked at South Bank Uni for while and would nip into the Wetherspoon for a pint of £1.45 Theakston. I eventually got irritated by the 'Giro-Beer-Money Feigned-Injury Job-Dodger' brigade swearing and stumbling all over the place and decided to switch to the E & C. Much better atmosphere, lovely friendly barmaid (I like an older woman, wink wink!), and worth the extra quid a pint. martinproll - 3 Oct 2006 00:44
I used to drink at the Elephant and Castle when I lived nearby. I remember Jackie always bussing around but Seamus was a twat and had no friends. Seemed to have a chip on both shoulders. Good manager there now and very nice Thai Food available. If you didn't go Seamus, the old faces would have. I still keep in touch with the area and the new garden is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone. anonymous - 16 Sep 2006 22:45
