Dire, not one Hobgoblin ale in sight, and a strange dark interior, think they must be aiming for the goth crowd. OldRogue - 2 Jan 2012 17:37
Now called 'The Hobgoblin' it's a Wychwood pub serving a pretty full range of their bottles and Hobgoblin from cask. Ideal for groups of 4 or more, it's a short walk from Angel tube. There's a pool table in the back room and a well stocked juke box of mainly rock. The beer can be a tad dubious, and the hobgoblin is not always on. Finally, beware of the landlord's dog, it has a habit of sampling unattended beers! Lozzachops - 13 Mar 2010 10:04
Not bad at all. It fails on its disgusting toilets that stink and often make the whole place smell of shit. Other than the manky bogs and the stench that you're greeted with, it's ok. Would have got a 7/10, but gets a 4/10 due to the nasty toilets. fatherpierre - 11 Aug 2008 00:15
Just been converted to a Hobgoblin, well there you go. Looks really good, i'm maybe a little biased i know the manager Liam. Worth a visit ..... pubstarz - 21 Sep 2007 22:59
Gone downhill rapidly. Draft beer is disgusting, bar staff unfriendly, place generally unclean and very overpriced. Oh dear, oh dear. keep_it_green - 23 Apr 2007 15:13
