This is an excellent pub if you're looking for somewhere to have a quiet pint or something to eat. Had the chicken breast to eat which was very nice and very good value too. Disappointed that Bombardier was the only ale available. Staff were friendly but alas the toilets were somewhat grotty.

This ain't a bad pub but the only purpose you'd go here for is a bite to eat or just a chilled pint. Otherwise best go elsewhere...

Beer still bad (when it's on), atmosphere still sour, one of the worst places in town.

Which is a shame, as it could be pretty good in the right hands.

Used to be my local (before I was converted to real ale) found it a nice place with friendly landlord (Mark)and bar staff. Caroline who used to work Sunday evenings was particularly friendly, not sure if she's still there. Never had food but met some good people and played some pool

Feculent pit!
No real ale on tap and my cottage pie was full of frozen meat.
Save your money and your intenstines and run to the hills.
