| The pub has had a bit of a revamp recently and looks a lot cleaner. There are 2 pool tables which are generally occupied by Mike (who is pi**sed all the time) and Rani. There are also 3 fruit machines. The food is Indian and run by a small Pakistani chain. It is cheaper than most other restaurants in the area. The Land Lady is friendly enough which is more then can be said for her new staff. They always seem in a bad mood!! Bring back the Ozzies!! An annoying thing about this place is the way they play Indian music at full blast in half the Pub and Mainstream in the other. If your in the middle it's a killer. There is ample parking which is quite good seeing as no other pub/bar in the area even has parking and also has an area outside for drinking during the summer. anonymous - 22 Nov 2005 14:13 |
| It is a huge pub. Two main bars, one of which is a games/TV lounge. Both bars have a drop down projector screen for sports events, but the real attraction is the food. The Flying Eagle is one of the new breed of Indian owned pubs that combine traditional pub atmosphere and fantastic Indian food. The crowd is a good mix of locals, who have obviously drunk there for years and people looking for a good bit of nosebag. There is a huge car park, kids are allowed in and it's pretty cheap too. I've never seen a fight or even the makings of one in there. Michelle the manager is a bit of a babe too. What more do you want? Good beer, great food and decent staff. BWW - 10 Jun 2005 12:27 |
