user reviews of the Crown Inn, Keynsham

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Stayed at this pub for b&b in June 2010. The landlord and landlady are great people and couldn't have been more helpful, the room was spacious, basic but very comfortable with kettle etc and had a fantastic shower room. Slight traffic noise, but it wasn't a problem (also it was hot weather and the windows were open). Breakfast was generous and well cooked and again we were looked after extremely well. Their beer was very good and they have various events - stayed on quiz night, one of the better pub quizzes I've seen. Not a posh plasticky establishment, a very welcoming (dare I say homely) one and I felt the quality of the food and drink and the superb service far outweighed the odd thing that is probably still being smartened up (the present hosts have been there only ten months and have clearly worked exceptionally hard on it - it's a real people pub. And all at a very very reasonable price.

One room pub, very quiet on our visit. Only one ale - from Moles, but in perfect nick. Place felt very 1970's, from the swirling carpet for the LL's facial hair. Probably not one to go out of the way for, but if you're waiting for the bus back to Bristol then it is not ungoinginable.
