Tiny but good venue for bands and a nice relaxed bar for drinking in. The right balance is struck between the place looking a bit low-rent and yet still being relatively clean and tidy and the red and black colour scheme helps make for a nice ambience. Draft Asahi was nice, range of bottles ok. Red Absinthe was a nice touch. Toilets are pretty grim. The pleasure of being able to hear the live bands and watch them on the TV screens rather than trying to pack into the small back room that houses the stage and enjoying your beer in relative comfort is not to be sniffed at.
Reasonably cheap and cheerful for this kind of place, particularly in such a prime location. They do food apparently, which I assume that you eat in the front of the place that looks more like a café and seems to be farely standard fare for the type of European bar/café (particularly those in Amsterdam and Berlin) that this place resembles.

Pathetique
This venue has gone from being one of my favourites to being another hole.
The owners have withdrawn their support for a band that always filled the place and always delivered.
The reason?
Once in 5 years there was a bit of trouble(please note ,this is the west end)
So all you Punky erbert oi boys and girls find somewhere else to drink, somewhere that appreciates the bands that have made the club what it is

This is not a dig at the people that run the punk nights, just the owners of the venue.

Music Venue with some interesting characters, also the opportunity to watch Live Music on the Tv Monitors. Not the best Kronunberg in the World though

A truelly superb venue. Not the prettiest, but then the best never are.
The London calling Punk nights in here are the best club nights in London.
A right old mixed bag of a crowd from Punks,to indie kids, to emos, to skinheads....I even saw someone from Dalston in here once.Never any trouble(that i've seen0 a really great venue, and night.

This place is crazy. It looks nothing from the inside but it opens up at the back. It's like the Crobar but full of acoustic fans as opposed to metal heads.

Not a bad pint of lager, and not overly expensive either!

Well worth a visit if you are looking for some quality acoustic music.
