| I did a relief management job in this place back in the seventies when it was called the Pecketts Flyer, and it's worth reporting that it's the only pub I've known to have had ten darts teams and fourteen skittles teams! | About the ONLY DECENT PUB left in Fishponds.... Darts, Cards, Skittle Alley, and a weekly quiz night, plus football and rugby games shown on several screens around the bar area. The only thing that they don't have is a pool table...But it's not that kind of pub anyway. Usually 3 Real ales on and all in top form, and if they are not in top form they are not 'put on'! | Visited on a Friday night. Buzzing but with very loud music, not that I mind loud music but the only seats were underneath one of the speakers "I SAID UNDERNEATH ONE OF THE SPEAKERS" Not a bad place to visit for a reasonable drink and good atmosphere but some older visitors may feel less at home. 8100bob - 14 Nov 2009 15:54 |
