| went to the opening night of refurbished pub, nicely decorated and seemed to have good selection of beer, butcombe not great but the pint of Gem was better. Had food which was good, and service from staff was excellent. Hopefully this time, the pub will be a success as Fishponds needs a decent pub with good food as Porto Lounge is cornering the food side in the area. jeffandstack - 5 Dec 2010 19:36 |

| Price a bit more reasonable than my last visit at £2.90 for a pint of Fullers London Pride (I only had a half). I normally like it but this was disgusting. It was willingly replaced with something else which was drinkable but not brilliant. They had seven or eight real ales - too many perhaps? There were only six people in, the behaviour of one of them was a bit worrying so I necked the half and left. I hope it doesn't go back to being another dodgy Fishponds pub.
