Pleasant pub and family friendly - large garden out back. Only two ales on the dreaded Doom Bar and Wickwar's BOB, which we settled for and was in great nick. Worth a look. Dandillus - 3 Mar 2012 19:27
Great food, friendly relaxed service, really is worth a visit or two or three. Good wine, some nice Whiskey and good local beer. However it is the food that makes it worth the journey to go to this pub. thereabouts - 20 Feb 2012 08:32
has changed management again! The split between the restaurant and bar is more clear. Sky TV is gone and the bar side is pleasant for a few nice relaxed drinks. The restaurant side has been tweaked. Very good chef and staff. Food is delicious. Sunday Roast is only £9.95 for a 3 course set menu. Delicious food and reasonable size portions. dineleeeee - 15 Dec 2011 22:23
Has now closed. The new management spent plenty of time and money refurbishing the pub but they didn't keep up the effort and things began to slide until it closed a few weeks ago. Hopefully someone will pick up the lease and try harder. dineleeeee - 9 Jun 2011 19:05
| Sadly on the slide again. No bitter in the house; "New Menu" has been "coming soon" for at least six weeks, and is sorely needed. The very professional and helpful staff have gone and the Landlord's extremely rude father is driving regulars away. A real pity after such a promising renaissance!
