seems to need a lick of paint and some staff who are going to sick around and make ago of it. needs a proper pub manager aswell.

Typical Youngs Pub, high ceiling lots of space serving good Special. Unfortunately let down by a lack of staff - quiet Tuesday lunchtime but waited at least 15 minutes to be served by the one staff member who was also taking food orders and acting as waiter! Unfortunately his English was not to good as having ordered two meals only one sandwich arrived - my elderly mothers request for pate was not understood when the menu read terrine! Perhaps I was also at fault thinking that my bill for £13.80 was good value for the two of us - drinks plus eats. Another £5.50 corrected that. It started to go really wrong when my Wiltshire ham sandwich arrived. I applied mustard to find that my sandwich consisted of dry brown bread, processed ham, tasteless tomato and no butter! I was subsequently supplied with a pot with missing butter!

This is a large pub with island bar and great views of the Thames from the terrace and seating area (as you can see from the pictures). It is open plan and very bright and airy and the barmaid was friendly enough, although I had to wait for her to finish her phone call before she would serve me – Her apology was accepted.

I found the prices to be in line with most other pubs in the area and the premises to be clean and fairly well maintained.

Youngs Ordinary and Special were available alongside Bombardier, Tribute and various standard and premium lagers.

This is not the most exciting of places, but a nice place for a few afternoon jars in the sun.

Visited on a sunny Saturday evening and really liked it. Friendly, efficient service and as the photo's show, a really great location. Can't comment about the food but I felt that the cost of drinks was reasonable, considering the location. I would recommend.
