| I couldn't disagree more with the critic who claimed not to have seen worse toilets since visiting "Hungry" on his holidays. They are by far the best part of this place being classic Victorian tiled basement bogs. Yes they could do with some cleaning and titivation, but not half as much as the staff and customers who scream chav and serve/drink badly kept beer and pints of wife-beater. | I had high hopes of this place but was sorely disappointed. Frequented by the local low life and monosyllabic plebs. I heard the F word used rather liberally which really put me off. | Service was a bit hit and miss but the lounge area was quite pleasant. The food was edible but you get what you pay for and the wine was passable. This pub is really for the locals and I hate to think what the rooms are like upstairs - if you're a tourist head elsewhere. crispyduck - 10 Jul 2009 16:47 |
