i am a regular at the pub and i must say that they have a great atmosphere in the bars. Their staff are very polite and helpful. I would recommend this pub to any one if they asked me where the best place to go for a couple of drinks

Have just returned from a weekend away at the Blue Lagoon Bar and had the best time. Me and my boyfriend stayed here and wanted to see the sights that Brighton had to offer but ended up staying in the bar the whole weekend! The staff were lovely, the food was the best pub food I've eaten and they even have a talking Parrot. I'm a big Chelsea fan and planned on watching the game, however it was on ESPN (new Setanta) I didnt have to travel far though as the bar has ESPN! The sports bar was great, it had 4 screens, 2 pool tables at only 50p a game and the locals made us feel welcome. We even played in the pool tournament. I would like to say well done to the family who run this place. Everyones needs are catered for, a lively sports bar on the ground floor and a quieter "chill out" bar on the top level. I will definately be returning.. this time to beat you in the pool comp!

Myself and a group of friends went to the Blue Lagoon for the weekend and had a lot of trouble with the staff, who led us to believe we had made a mistake with our booking (the room we had was one person short).

The following morning a staff member marched up to a member of our party and said they had purposely sold our room on as they were able to get more money for it (we had taken advantage of a special offer).

A number of staff were extremely rude and left us stranded 200 miles from home. We were lucky enough to find a room nearby, and the owner said this kind of problem happens frequently at the Blue Lagoon.

Fantastic pub! The staff are lovely here. I've eaten here a few times and it's always nice and fairly priced. They always have something going on - Karaoke, live singers/ bands, quizzes, live sports etc.... with two bars you can't really go wrong, there's something for everyone. I would really reccommend this pub to anyone, it's bar far the best in this area.
