| The two reviews below must be made up by idiots! This is a lovely little pub, great beer, great food and friendly staff. It has a really relaxed atmosphere, a good selection of board games and Nintendo Wii nights on a Monday are a good laugh! Highly recommend this as a place to go, top marks! | Agree with Nignog Death trap of a pub shall not be visiting again. I think Nignog forgot to add about the food, i ordered Scampi in a basket and the Scampi was so under cooked im sure i saw the Scampi wink at me!!! Beer tasted like it had just been scooped out of the sea and the barman looked liked Barry Chuckle and had as much brains as him as well! Avoid!!!!!!!! superseagulls - 2 Jan 2008 15:31 |
| this pub is a death trap I was walking past with my lover roland on the eve of christmas eve, when a petrol bomb came flying over and bounced off the window, I will most certainly not be visiting again. Also I had a pint of old scrote and I had a dicky tummy the day after. I think its discraceful. nignog - 2 Jan 2008 15:07 |
| Well what can I say. This little pub has the biggest of characters. Very welcoming staff, and customers of all ages. Excellent bright new courtyard outside for those who like the sun when it comes out. The food is always fab with a varied menu and great Sunday roasts. Having frequented this pub a few times now I can recommend the quiz on a Wednesday and live music every other Friday. The Bell is too good to be missed. Add it to your regular haunts or you'll be missing out. Its just off George Street!! scotch.mist - 5 Sep 2007 21:50 |
