Cheaper wine and beer, but visited late Monday afternoon. We had a carvery meal (1) roast turkey and (1) roast pork. Place not busy, did not expect to be, but take it or leave it style of service, ran out of yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes too hard. But, the worst of it was that when we finished our meals, the plates remained uncollected. Staff were not rushed off their feet, being a Monday. However, the gents loo was in a poor condition. The soap dispenser was broken. Will not be back

The previous reviewer, Plumpudding, describes it beautifully. The carvery IS cheap and very good. The lager choice better than the beer, and the wine is a better choice. The place on a Thursday late afternoon was heaving with extended families and crumblies ( like me and the mrs). No Style, Cheap and Cheerfull but dammit it works a treat.

It's a cheap carvery and that's about it. Go there once every couple of months. Beer is dreadful so stick to house wine which is well priced and not bad. Local Chavs congregate there some evenings and their rug rats run around the place - that was until some old girl poured her hot gravy laden plate of turkey over one little runt. Did the parents moan, but whose fault was it ? Theirs. Not a place for drinkypoohs more of a place to shovel cheap carved animal flesh into the gob. Staff are few and far between so don't go there if you are in a rush.

Nice clean carvery/pub with a pub quiz on a Monday night.

Disappointed not to find any hand pumps although the Greene King IPA and Tetley's (IIRC) on tap aren't too bad.

Tends to be a little dead most evenings.
