Slightly above average pub. Friendly service and 4 hand pumps, nothing special - Harvey's and Spitfire is all I recall but it was mid-summer and I was drinking cider so I can't comment on them! For the sad people who think pubs are for serving food, it's reasonably priced with pizza for a fiver. ecksact - 13 Aug 2010 03:17
I had a badly kept pint of Harveys in here a couple of nights ago. Full marks to them though, for still retaining the public bar. No marks though, for not having refurbished the place since 1968. I won't be rushing back. shakespiers - 15 Jul 2010 21:07
Very friendly pub. Only popped in for a couple of beers while we waited for a table at the Indian restaurant down the road but were made to feel very welcome. Good pint of Directors and Spitfire. richardh - 12 Apr 2007 14:45
