Visited at approx. 10pm on a cold wet winters' night, albeit a Saturday. Pub was very tatty, the 15 or so exclusively male patrons all long since past the point of no return booze-wise for the day. Whilst not exactly hostile, the language and drunken demeanour of the locals cluttered round the bar did not make for a pleasant, nor even civil drinking environment. Not sure if there was any ale on offer, in all honesty I wouldn't have chanced it anyway as settled for a pint of cooking lager and a swit exit. Certainly didn't see anyone else drinking anything other than lager or misc. bottled fare. Worthing is far from a drinking mecca, but you can certainly do better than this....

Pleasant back street pub selling real ale from Kings and Hammerpot (perhaps not the greatest local brewers, but a lot better than national bland beers).

I like this Pub! I found the atmosphere relaxed and had a nice pint for a bit cheaper than others in town. The Bar Staff were nice and felt welcomed. I frequented JB's for a while and discovered (they dont advertise this?) They have happy hour 4 for two pints on tues thurs and fri and on sun afternoon happy hour they do free roast tatties, pate, cheese etc. Quiz night on Tues also does free food for quiz teams, (easy-ish quiz) good to know! Altogether a nice balance between the Stuffy or Aggressive Pubs which are common around here!

Cheap - tatty, pub fun, toilets however are like going for piss at the old Goldstone ground.

A popular traditional english style pub, with a good atmosphere, where the drinks are reasonably priced, which hosts a quiz night on a tuesday night and free sunday lunchtime food spread, and free pool on mondays, ideal in the summer if you fancy a refresher from lying on the beach as the pub is situated across the road, can tend to be busy on a friday & saturday night, well worth a visit.
