user reviews of the Spotted Cow Inn, Drighlington

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A lovely pub, recently refurbished, the front section is more traditional pub, to the back a more modern bar style area with sofas and large comfortable seats.

I'm not an ale drinker, but my other half is, and was very happy with the selection of beers available, not to mention the huge bags of Yorkshire crisps!

There is also a separate dining area (I've not tried the food) and a large car park to the rear. By far the nicest and most welcoming pub in the village.

Well worth a visit!

New licensee. At least two guest ales at all times. On my previous visit I had Ilkley Brewery - Mary Jane: Coverdale Brewery - Dark & Delicious.

Late fifties to early sixties The Spotted Cow in Drighlington had a talking dog. He was a brown Corgi and quite an attraction. Our Albert and his girlfriend Rita used to frequent the pub and when they got married they had the evening do there. I could not believe this dog, he actually said things like "Hello" and "Yes" and "No". It was a gargled type of growly voice but distinct enough to tell what it was.
I live in Texas these days and have often reminisced about the talking dog at The Spotted Cow in Drighlington. I do hope that the pub is still as warm and friendly as it was back then. Pleasant memories indeed.
