Good range of beers and atmosphere. Finalist in local Pub of the Year competition. About time BITE updated the name though. dougscott - 9 Nov 2007 19:08
Visited here on a Friday afternoon - and really, I thought it was one of the friendliest pubs I've been in in quite some time (and I go to a lot of pubs). All the other customers knew each other, but I didn't feel at all out of place or unwelcome, and one of them even persuaded me to join in the conversation. Kake - 27 Oct 2007 17:52
Since Steve in the Magpie decided not to open till 16;00 on Boxing day a visit to O'Briens seemed in order. I was pleasently surprised, 4 real ales, a wide selection of foreign beers and due to the Magpies stealth rises is in a comparative price range. Time to wake up Steve! rahferret - 28 Dec 2006 01:31
Oh come on Rollo, it's not that bad. It's now called O'Briens II but despite the Irish name has some real ale on tap and is comfortable enough. beeronaut - 23 Dec 2006 09:37
A bit scary and the ceiling is very low. Long time since I went there to be honest, and even then it was just the once. Good for: Hard midgets. thenationofjames - 11 Dec 2003 13:52
