The Watermans Arms, Brentford - pub details

Watermans Arms
Description

The Watermansis a beautiful, friendly "local" style pub with a top quality food offering. We serve both traditional British dishes and some delicious Japanese specialities. (Landlord Gordon Fry used to live there)
We serve Greene King, hand pulled ales, always offering I.P.A. and Abbot ale plus one other guest ale which changes all the time.
There's a good selection of bottled beers and ciders and a good variety of wines available by the glass and bottle.
We have live satellite T.V. including daytime games on Saturdays. We also have a lovely secluded patio garden at the rear with a covered, heated smoking area.
We are next door to a large Premiere Inn and we are 10 mins from Kew Gardens and just down the road from Twickenham.

This is a great little pub, it's very welcoming and does AMAZING food and beer at decent prices!

Popped in here for a swift one on a saturday lunchtime prior to a Bees game. Small GK boozer, struck me as more of a locals pub with a horseshoe bar and a small section for food. Rather disappointingly only Abbot and GK IPA on, but visiting was a pleasant enough experience. Dartboard and, for some reason, golf clubs available round one side of the bar.

This was signposted by a welcoming sign on the main road ("families welcome", "Thai kitchen" etc.) but the reality was rather disappointing. Only three people in there on the lunchtime I visited - one the barmaid, and one the chef, and a general air of quietude. GK IPA and Abbot on handpump, but all in all not a very exciting boozer.

This is a pretty small boozer serving up Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale, Stella, Fosters etc. It is just off the main road, but I think easily seen unlike The Brewery Tap.

Barman was friendly enough and no complaints with my pint. The Garden is fairly small and decked out with lots of potted plants and a few strategically placed watering cans. Pleasant enough, but I’m not sure about the empty champagne bottles in all of the ashtrays, is there a reason for it that I’m missing?

Not a bad pub, like most in Brentford.
