| I have not lived here long and due to a change in job i have been serching for a local and i have found it.I was holding a great conversation with Gwen the land lady and i must say i was made to feel very welcome.I smoke so iwas glad to see they had a smoking room outside,it was better out there than it was inside! the banter was great fun to listen to,there was a chap from liverpool with big teeth that reminded me of Berny winters,he was very funny cracking jokes to an old man called les who seemed to enjoy having the micky taken out of him.They said this was the best pub in christchurch and i would agree. localvoice - 19 Mar 2008 09:09 |

Come on ladies and gents...it must be awful for a landlord and landlady of a public house to see honest comments depicting them as an uncivilised, arrogant, ignorant and illiterate species that would be difficult to describe as human. Of course, Steve, the sad and ignorant idiot who runs this site ( and obviously employs totally inadequate lawyers( feeling, wrongly that this may be slander), will remove this post. However, even if it is only here for 5 minutes, then my request to the landlord of this pub is quite simply: you know where I live...have the guts to confront one on one without your minders!
