user reviews of the Ram Inn, Cliviger

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

We constantly scour the North West in search of places to eat that dont seem to have forgotten what food is all about. To the extent of the exemplary Gaucho and San Carlos (expect to pay 150 per head) in Manchester which produce michelin quality food as we are terribly fussy and passionate when it comes to food.
We all know what a eg. Brewers Fayer pub food tastes like etc and England should be getting tired of this drab, tastless, manufactuered rubbish. What happened to proper, real, different, cooked food that we can all rave about? Answer.... Its at The Ram Inn. I can only imagine that the bad comments on here are perhaps from discruntled ex-staff, or perhaps comments from before this amasing restaurant was taken over by its new owners.
I am so glad i didnt take any notice of any of the bad comments or reviews because The Ram Inn is somewhat in our opinion (family of 4, 3 times a week) absolutely phenominal. The staff are extremely welcoming, there is a very nice cosey warm atmosphere and the food they produce makes you feel like royalty plus it is excellant value for money.
We will be frequenting this restaurant for years to come as they never fail to impress us.
Seriously... if anyone on here has writen a bad review, then i urge you to give them another try, i am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

Hey wasnt bad at all, we where out for a stroll on the Mary Townley loop when we fell over the Ram Inn in Holme Chapel. I must say it was a great find!
We where met with a warm welcome and a fair choice of ales, largers and a big wine list. After a pint of Black Sheep and half of Amstel we decided to try some the fayre on offer.Ten minutes later the food arrived it looked great and tasted the same.
The Ram Inn has a beer garden that looks up at Theively Pike, which is a hell of a veiw. I could imagine getting a bit too comfortable here in the summer with the extra cold lagers served to the table......Taxi !!!!
