| Smart dining pub with 3 AA Rosettes that is reminiscent of a hunting lodge. Various eating areas upstairs (e.g. The Portrait Room) that were all superbly presented. | Take one lovely atmospheric little pub, close it for two years, upset the local villagers and open again as a pompous overpriced restaurant for would be deer hunters and you have the Freemasons Arms. | .....went for food for the first time...yesterday , couldnt help but be impressed.... the wine list was extensive , with a nice dry house white at �9.99 . food was excellent [ i would recomend you make a reservation at weekend...] they just managed to squeeze us in at 6pm on a saturday ... these people obviously care , the tables are well presented , and the menu was varied , the food was great , i can recommend this place.... if you can find it !! miichael - 18 Feb 2007 19:19 |
| You'll never find it, it's down an unmarked alleyway and you cant see it from the end, but... some of the finest food in Lancashire (really), a 600 bin wine list, good real ales, dozens of whiskys, God knows what else.
