| Food orientated pub about fifteen minutes walk from the East Lancs Railway station. Probably not really worth making much of a effort as the food when we went was rather unexciting as indeed was the beer (Hartley's XPA). | Food is quite good here. In fact on a good day, it's very good and quite sensibly priced. The main, sometimes only cask ale is the rare Robinson's Ordinary Bitter, or whatever it's called these days. When you taste it you realise why it's rare. Chiefly a locals' pub.
