| Recently renovated, the Ranken arms serves excellent beers, and real homemade food. A friendly local pub serving local real ales. Food is good value and very tasty, I had the minted lamb pudding with homemade chips, delicious! Markludd - 21 Mar 2014 10:00 |
| I have visited this pub on a number of occassions on the reccomendation of family living in the village. The beers are always well kept, but where this pub really excels is in the quality and value for money for food. I would go so far as to say that the meals here are some of the best value for money I have ever had in any pub anywhere in the country. The staff are always friendly. I would reccomend the lamb shank which is under a tenner and absolutely huge. Also the Prawn and Salmon salads. There is always half a bag of prawns and a big chunk of salmon for about seven and a half quid. The salads are exotic peppers, grapes and kiwi ect.
