| Called in one evening early June. Got the history from the new landlord. A lot has been done to turn the place around after some bad experiences with past tennants that draggged the place down. Now has very interesting pictures on the wall (for sale but v pricey) and appealing gastro type food. Very comfortably fitted out, and nice welcome from the staff who were very helpful and attentive. | Called in here last Sunday lunchtime, July 4th, while on canal boat holiday. Was told pub closing that evening. Still had very good Sunday roast although place was rather like the Marie Celeste as apart from pleasant barmaid, we were the only people there. Most fittings etc had been removed so was very barren.
