| I was struck by both how friendly this place was as well as the relative inexpensiveness of the lunch menu (for what was on offer); no "confusion or unhelpfulness" today. | So-so village pub with curt welcome from the elderly barlady (landlady?) who seemed particularly confused, inefficient and unhelpful. Only one ale on (Butcombe) which was only average. | Excellent place! Turned up quite late one evening after having tried somewhere else first (and been disappointed there) and were made very welcome by Jeremy and Sarah (we think!)
