| Well, not much more to add to The_Final_Arbiter's comment. yes the bar maid is very pleasant, Butcombe and Adnams spot on and Also Tribute available. Pete the landlord is not on a par (looks wise) with aforementioned barstaff but is probably one of the best in Yeovil making a Punch pub great, not an easy job in these times. | I think I'm in love again! Went in here for lunch and a few ales today, and behind the bar was an absolutely stunningly drop-dead gorgeous young lady. Eastern European, I would guess, but her English was faultless, as was her shape. I had a Butcombe to start with, and Adnams Broadside to follow. Both in perfect condition, just like the barmaid. We opted for the Sweet 'n' Sour Pork, which was served by (yeah, you've guessed it.) the equally tasty barmaid/waitress. | Previous comments a bit puzzling. This pub always serves a good pint (usually Butcombe, Broadside and Tribute - my favourite of the three). Certainly not a gastro pub - new £5 lunch menu appears excellent value - not tried yet, but will soon. One of the best pubs in Yeovil. | Tried hard to become a gastro pub but couldn't quite pull it off. Has a fair few live music acts but is not worth climbing Hendford Hill for. Food is OK but a shade overpriced and I can't comment on the ales as I was on Guinness. BobOs - 17 Dec 2008 14:08 |
