| Although small, and full of locals, there is a friendly welcoming atmosphere in this pub! Cosy little nooks to sit in and 'rocket fuel' strength cider on tap. Kareoke night here are something to be seen also! lisajules - 22 Nov 2006 16:17 |
| This is a small and unusual pub. It still has two separate bars which loosely retain the flavour of a public and saloon bar. it is housed in a very old building painted pink, with a thatched roof. It has a real fireplace where they burn logs when the weather dictates. It has a pool table upstairs, a pay as you go jukebox, and lovely lounging room also upstairs, with squidgy sofas. They are (in)famous for serving Thatchams a local cider which comes in yellow and red varieties, one sweeter than the other. Both opaque and very strong. The yellow is affectionately known as 'Toxic Waste' for it's almost Dayglo yellow colour and strength. Last time I was there, this was only £1.80 a pint and believe me you don't need much! rentawitch - 20 Apr 2006 07:52 |
