A week after "djw" and I couldn't stay long enough! There were 2 beers from Ludlow Brewery, a pale ale from Mayfields and the one I enjoyed at £2.60 per pint but, embarrasingly, I can't remember its name! We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and it was quiet, there were a couple of people eating plus a few locals in the back room watching rugby on a small TV (although I think they were going to show the England match on a bigger projector screen in the front room at 3pm - we had set off on our travels before then). I think they stopped serving meals at 2pm but it looked as if someone was able to buy a ham roll after that time. I would definitely try it again.

A strange one. Small, unspoilt, good beer, everything I usually love in a pub. But for some unfathomable reason I felt more uncomfortable in here than I have for a long time and I couldn't leave quick enough.

My first BITE review, and fittingly the first pub I've been to solely on recommendations of BITE reveiwers.

Quite a nice little pub - but little does seem to be the operative word ! Had 4 beers on, all of which were local. I had the St Georges ale which was excellent.

Interior seemed to be a bit scruffy, but was clean.

This has to be the best pub in Leominster, a small gem, a must visit pub. Visited once when the fair was in the street outside and it was nearly impossible to get in or out. Very popular at other times too though, and always a good atmosphere. I think this is probably down to the Landlord and Landlady.

Sometimes has a fire lit in the small hearth in the right hand side room but this Saturday it was fortunately not lit as the room was tightly packed full of people watching the rugby. Great atmosphere as usual and a good choice of real ales. The St Austells Tribute was excellent and very well kept.
