user reviews of Lucky Jims, Eastleigh

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This place is long gone now.
It went through several changes of ownership/name but always on the same low-end theme, and never improved before finally succumbing to the inevitable.
The site is currently occuied by a Poppins Cafe.

Lucky Jim's is a perfect symbol of a town in decline.
Two brief visits have found it to be mostly inhabited by young lads in "sportswear" who all appear to know eachother, and who eye "strangers" suspiciously from the pool table.
As for the beer,it's not the sort of place you'd ask for anything but lager....though the Stella/Kronenbourg? was fine.
Certainly not the worst place to drink in Eastleigh(I wouldn't describe it as a proper pub),but a long way from being the best too.

This 'pub' is awful. Eastleigh's hardly spilling over with quality boozers, but this is perhaps one of the worst. Shit beer, shitter atmosphere. Yuck. Avoid.

Lucky Jims? Lucky you don't live or work anywhere near Eastleigh, 99.9 per cent of my beerintheevening.com chums.
