lovely exterior, done in tudor [black & white] style, as many buildings in chester. belongs to greene king's old-english-inn chain. very popular with students, although they weren't a problem when we stayed there. couple of cask ales on offer, but were poorly kept. [they probably have trouble shifting cask ale in a student bar]. meals were nice, and also offer good value at certain times of the day, as promotions apply. 5-10 min walk into town. would stay again.. at right price! reynard - 16 May 2007 13:41

This place is full of students nice to the eye but a pain in the arse anonymous - 18 Apr 2006 21:14
A good hangover cure after a few too many the night before. Not the liveliest of places but good to chill out with your mates. Sit and watch the music channel or the football. Generally a nice pub! Spanna - 4 May 2005 11:14
