We were in the Sun Inn for new year 2011/12 in the afternoon and night. Lovely, warm, small crowd. Management and locals could not have been more friendly. Simple food, but served promptly and not expensive. Good selection of beers, but this is really somewhere to visit for the atmosphere. Worth stopping if you are in the neighborhood.

I hired the Sun inn on 22nd October 2011, after our wedding the previous day at Great Fosters. We made a great choice. We hired part of the pub and for food they provided a hog roast, which was fantastic. The owners (Joanne and Phil), could not have done anymore to make our day better. They pretty much let us have the run of the place and also allowed us to bring in a few Traditoinal Irish musicians, which created a great atmosphere. Selection of ale/lager on tap is very good and the pub has a very nice vibe to it, but as with all pubs this is down to the friendliness of the staff and owners. Sun has this in spades. Will definitely be back, next time I am in the area, as will the 70 odd guests we had with us I am sure.

This is not a pub that I would ever go back to, the food was too expensive, the service was very poor and the toilets were dirty
